The Eaglet Flyer
October 3rd, 2025
Our Busy Days...
This Week...
This week the Eaglets learned all about apples!
Students were introduced to apple nomenclature cards which they were free to explore on our nature shelves. They copied an apple themed poem, and we also dissected apples this week as well! Students really enjoyed dissecting their apples and identifying the different parts! We also wrapped up our observations of the different decomposing apples that we have been taking data on.
For the first time this year, students were passed back corrected work, made appropriate corrections to their work and were invited to review lessons to help them with their work corrections. These review lessons included static and dynamic addition using Stamp Game and place value using Golden Beads.
Students were encouraged to use our puzzle maps this week as well as complete a short booklet on our world (continents and oceans) in our geography area. Many students will be bringing home so gorgeous maps of the world this week!
