winter solstice

The all school Winter Solstice Celebration is an annual MVCS tradition that brings together our entire community of students, staff, families, and friends. The longest night of the year, the winter solstice celebrates the return of the sun, as the earth continues its orbit around the sun, bringing longer days and shorter nights.

We celebrate solstice with a meditation walk through a lantern-lit path filled with student art and a giant bonfire where we sing songs, share poetry, tell stories all while enjoying cider, hot chocolate and holiday treats.

Join us to celebrate an evening of light, love, and community during our long winter hours of darkness.
